I’m really interested in peoples WHY, I find it so compelling to know what makes them tick, what their experiences have been and to be able to do that in a way where I help bring them to owning a home, to having their own blades of grass to play on is so cool. And I hate worrying about money, about having predicable income and the only way to do that, I’ve found it is have a career where I have to rely on myself, to produce results for people in order to get there.
I worked for retailer Herb Chambers for almost seven years, and Liz Letourneau had previously worked with me there. She spoke so highly of Shamrock Financial that I took a leap of faith, and so in 2001, I applied. And here I am!
I’m known for giving clients a great experience, and building relationships with my clients, realtors and other professionals I love working with both first time home buyers and those buyers who may be up-sizing or downsizing.
How to get approved formally. If someone has had an issue in the past, I let them know what they need to do to proceed. My ideal clients say that they felt as though they were our only clients.
I really believe in our mantra of educating and guiding clients throughout the process start to finish. I love explaining the “why” behind something and having someone understand it.
Personally, I’m passionate about giving back. Recently me and a group of really cool ladies formed a local non-profit to raise funds and awareness for animals. I’m a huge animal lover, and it tears me up to hear stories of animal cruelty. I also make it a point to be philanthropic and to donate personally to other causes that have touched me and those close to me.
The older I get, the more I just love to be at home. Though, I do love staying active as well so many times on weekends I may find myself biking, or heading to the gym, or doing something active with my hockey teammates. Yes, I play ice hockey. I actually broke my leg in 2016 playing and I’m back at it! It makes for a cool story and a cool scar where they had to put a titanium rod in my leg!
In 2013 I did my first Spartan Sprint race. I have a medal, and I’m one and done on that one! It was also important to me to do a half marathon at 40, and I ran my first half marathon in 2014. I’ve been fortunate to continuously be Shamrock’s top producing loan officer as well as a multiple year recipient Five Star Mortgage Professional.
I really love what I do and love coming to work. I don’t see it as work and feel lucky that I get to do what I love every day.
